Beginnings
Rooted in faith and disciplined from childhood
Her grandmother introduced her to Christianity, prayer, discipline and hard work. Childhood trading — selling baby garments and learning to account for every sale — awakened the entrepreneurial instinct that would remain a defining thread throughout her life.
A prolonged illness at the age of ten delayed her secondary education, but it did not diminish her spirit. She recovered, entered Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School in Ijebu Ode in 1977, and grew into an outspoken, adventurous and fearless young woman.
